WHAT IS A PRECISION-GUIDED FIREARM AND WHAT DOES IT DO?
A Precision-Guided Firearm is a comprehensive, purpose-built weapon system. It incorporates the same tracking and fire-control capabilities found in advanced fighter jets. It ensures never-before-seen precision at extreme distances and high target velocities. Learn more on the How It Works page. http://tracking-point.com/how-it-works
HOW DOES A SHOOTER USE A PRECISION-GUIDED FIREARM?
The shooter presses the tag button to designate an impact point, aligns the reticle with the tag, and squeezes and holds the trigger. The Precision-Guided Firearm does the rest. It’s called Tag-and-ShootTM. Learn more on the How It Works page. http://tracking-point.com/how-it-works
IS SKILL REQUIRED TO HUNT OR SHOOT WITH A
Yes, absolutely. With a Precision-Guided Firearm, you must identify and stalk your prey. You choose the desired shot placement, and you tag the animal with precision. You’ll develop a new skill: learning to tag a moving animal quickly and swiftly get back on target.
CAN I PUT A TRACKINGPOINT SCOPE ON ANOTHER FIREARM?
No. Putting the scope from a TrackingPoint Precision-Guided Firearm onto a rifle would result in very poor precision. The technology required to take shooting to the high level of precision of our firearms goes far beyond the scope, and permeates every element of a TrackingPoint Precision-Guided Firearm. The trigger alone contains electro-optics technology usually seen only in advanced weapon systems. In the base firearm—where the laser-based barrel reference system maintains perfect zero from shot to shot—there are more than 200 electronic and mechanical components that don’t exist in any other gun.
CAN I USE A PRECISION-GUIDED FIREARM IN A TRADITIONAL WAY?
Yes. There is a traditional mode on all Precision-Guided Firearms.
HOW PRECISE ARE PRECISION-GUIDED FIREARMS?
With a Precision-Guided Firearm, a shooter will always hit within 10 inches of the tag point on a 1,000-yard target.
